“Kindred Hospital Fort Worth is a wonderful small hospital with the care and concern for their patients rarely seen anywhere these days. My Mom has a broke neck, ribs, and punctured lungs to recover from there, so she will be there for awhile. We deal with physical, occupational, speech, and respitory therapy departments daily. The nursing stuff is great as well as the doctors. Even the food is good. My Mom is 80 yrs old so this is a very hard injury for her to recover from. On her bad days ‘and there are several’ she can be quit diffucult to get her to co-operate with her therapy. However the staff will smile and say come on lets get on with it and she will follow along. The constant smiles from staff were contagious. This is a long term care hospitol and Mom has been there awhile now. I see other relatives and patients and have not heard any complaints. I feel that Kindred is a Blessing!” – Beverly O.
“Kindred Hospital Fort Worth is a jewel of a hospital located right in the heart of the hospital district. The compassion of the staff knows no bounds. Highly recommend Kindred.”
“My Mom has been in Kindred, recovering from a broke neck, three broken ribs, and a punctured lung. I have been so impressed with the care she has recieved there. We deal with the nursing staff of course, also physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, wound care dept., and respitory therapy on a daily basis. Each has shown knowledge and care of my Mom's condition and recovery. The smallest of things that can be down to make things easier for her are done. I have been truely amazed by the entire staff. The doctors were just as wonderful. Anytime I voiced any type of concern or question, it was immediately addressed”.

“In today’s society, healthcare and hospitals are often criticized for poor attention to the care of patients’ medical and personal needs, as well as making families feel like intruders rather than partners in caring for their loved ones. This letter is to sing the praises of the entire staff on the first floor of Kindred Hospital Fort Worth.
"My husband was recently sent to Kindred Hospital for an 18 day period before his death in December 2009. The professionalism displayed by the entire staff was exceptional. From the young lady who delivered menus, the kitchen staff, techs, physical, occupational and respiratory therapists, the many nurses as well as the head nurse – everyone went out of their way to show their love and concern for my husband and our entire family. These are warm, caring, supportive individuals. When it became clear that my husband would not be coming home for Christmas we were encouraged to decorate his room for the holiday, play Christmas carols and assist with his care in menial tasks such as feeding, oiling his body and bringing his favorite foods. Family, friends and our pastor were always greeted with a friendly smile and offered assistance if needed. A roll away bed was even brought for a family member allowed to stay and sleep next to my husband right before his passing. With my husband’s death that Sunday morning, shockwaves seemed to go throughout the floor. Our family was sought out and comforted with hugs, tears and words of condolence and sympathy. I even received a personal phone call the next morning from a Physical Therapist who had worked with my husband who had not been on duty the morning he passed.
Just to say thank you to this outstanding group of healthcare individuals does not seem to be enough. Our family wanted their company to know what wonderful people and workers they are. They have restored our faith in what nursing and healthcare is all about.
Sincerely,
D.S.”
